September 10th-20th, 2024

Get ready to immerse yourself in breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and warm Scottish hospitality.

Let’s dive into the details of this fantastic retreat:

Days 1-3, September 10-12th, Edinburgh – A capital kick-off!
Arrive in Edinburgh in the early evening on the 10th, the lively capital of Scotland, where ancient castles and cobblestone streets meet trendy cafes and vibrant street performers. Settle into your accommodations and we will meet for a later dinner all together. Over the next couple of days, you will explore the historic Edinburgh Castle, stroll along the iconic Royal Mile, walk the famous Victoria Street, explore the charm of Grassmarket, sit in the scenic gardens on Princes Street. We hope you will try your taste buds in a hearty plate of haggis as you indulge in the local faire of this magical city. If you’re daring enough, you might take a chance at the underground ghost tours that are world famous. Bring your comfortable walking shoes as you will definitely get your steps in on these days.

Day 4, Sept 13th: Ullapool – Nature’s Playground!
After an early breakfast on Sept 13th, we will go to Edinburgh bus station where we will be met by our Rabbie’s tour guide for the next 7 days together. Prepare to be enchanted by the stunning scenery that surrounds you! Heading north, you’ll stop in the village of Dunkeld for a wee bite to eat, and perhaps a scone and coffee/tea before heading through Cairngorms. Next is Loch Ness to do your best to spot Nessie, before heading on to reach the charming fishing village of Ullapool for a one-night stay. Breathe in the fresh mountain air, and let your worries melt away.

Day 5-6, Sept 14/15th: Lewis and Harris – Beaches and Beauty!
Wake up with the beauty of Loch Broom as you enjoy breakfast before the next leg of your journey on a two and a half hour ferry ride over to Stornoway on Isle of Lewis & Harris. Keep your eyes open as you just might see dolphins and whales across the sea. These days will be spent immersing yourself in the rugged beauty of white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and ancient standing stones. Discover the rich Gaelic heritage, visit the famous Callanish Standing Stones, and explore the vibrant landscapes of the Outer Hebrides. These two nights will be spent in Stornoway.

Day 7-8, Sept 16-17th,: Isle of Skye – Fairy tales come to life!

After waking up in Stornoway, you’ll make your way through Harris, the home of Harris tweeds, exploring mountain landscapes and white sand beaches. Weather depending, there might even be a picnic on the beach. From Harris, you will take a short ferry ride to the mystical Isle of Skye where Portree will be your base for the next three nights. Get ready to be transported to a world of misty mountains, dramatic cliffs, and mythical landscapes. Explore the enchanting Fairy Pools, marvel at the towering Old Man of Storr, the mythical beauty of the Quiraing, see the famous Fairy Glenn, and visit the fairy-tale-like Dunvegan Castle. Skye will cast its spell on you, leaving you longing for more.

Day 9, Sept 18th: Eilean Donan Castle, Glencoe & Highlands – Majestic grandeur!
You will leave Skye over the bridge, and travel to see Scotland’s most photographed castle, Eilean Donan Castle. It is highly encouraged to tour this castle as you get a closer look at what life was like when it was inhabited every day. Next you will be taken to see the highest peak in Scotland, Ben Nevis. After a brief stop there, you will journey into Glencoe, where you will witness the epitome of untamed beauty as you traverse through breathtaking glens, shimmering lochs, and picturesque villages. Let the sheer grandeur of Glencoe leave you humbled and inspired. The journey back to Edinburgh will take you to Loch Lubnaig, and then you will return to Edinburgh in the evening.

Day 10, Sept 19th: Edinburgh
On day 10, Sept 19th, you will see more sights in this historic city, stroll through the quaint Dean Village, savor a meal together while sharing the joys of a trip of a lifetime, and end our time by sitting at Calton Hill for sunset, weather permitting.

Day 11, Sept 20th: You will bid farewell to Scotland in the morning of Sept 20th, with memories that will leave a lasting imprint in your heart forever.
